Cylinder path

At Hydrotec, we take it very seriously to establish a climate of trust between you and us. We have decided to present you the cylinder path in the center of our workshop.

1. The reception in our premises allows us to put an identification on the cylinder which will follow it throughout its stay in the company.

2. The dismantling of the cylinder is essential to know the problem encountered.

3. The expertise will make it possible to make the dimensional control of the functional coasts, and to identify the supplies which compose the jack. But also to identify the causes of the failures.

4. Then, the business managers take over to make you a price offer. If accepted, this will allow us to launch the customer order.

5. The engineering and design department will study all the possible solutions to improve or modify the cylinder that the company took in charge because of dysfunction in its first function.

6. Then, the work carried out is integrated into the ERP of the company which will allow the supply of the various consumables and materials necessary to the repair of your cylinder.

7. This planning on ERP makes it possible to manage the cylinder supply, i.e. our workshop includes a stock of materials with various types of materials: S355, 42CD4, chromium-plated rectified steel, stainless steel, bronze alloy, KNO, grey cast iron… From this stock we only have to prepare the material we need for the repair. Moreover, we can provide you with the material certificate you need.

8. Once all the material is available, we start the manufacturing and repair of your components. Three types of repairs can be distinguished: simple component repair with essentially barrel lapping which may include chrome plating, and stem repair with chrome plating and polishing and possibly soldering.

The rework and repair of existing components with the modification by machining of certain interfaces between components such as threads or joint surfaces, or when possible, reloading and reworking to the same model.

Finally, the last repairs are the complete manufacture of components to replace those deteriorated.

9. When the manufacturing steps are completed, the different components of the cylinder are assembled. After checking the sliding surfaces and the surface steps as well as the different adjustments of the parts. The operator starts the assembly of the cylinder according to the given procedures.

10. After repair we systematically test your hydraulic cylinder on our test bench which has a capacity of 700 bars maximum. At your request we can provide you with a test certificate with the conditions and results of the hydraulic test.

11. This is an optional step in the manufacture of the cylinder. After degreasing and cleaning the cylinder. The cylinder is painted according to your specifications.

12. Once the cylinders are packed and protected for transport, you can either come directly to the workshop to collect your cylinders or they will be shipped to you.
